Always Remember Your Roots

The inspiration for my portfolio was my family's Chinese culture and history in New Zealand. My family worked in the market gardens, and my grandparents continued to grow vegetables, specifically spring onions, for many years. As a 4th generation Chinese-New Zealander, I'm not very connected to my culture, so I wanted to include elements from it to allow me to reconnect with my roots. I also used photos from my grandpa's garden using his vegetables and soil, hence the title "Always Remember Your Roots".
